what TRULY is a good free antivirus?
I’ve heard Pandna Cloud was good, then I heard it was not. I’ve heard Avaira was good, then I heard it was not. And finally, Avast was good, it was not. I just want to know what you can really help for the best when it comes to Internet security, e-mail protection, hacker, and detection of viruses, worms, Trojans, etc., and personal opinions and experiences so much. Even sites with TRUSTED Reviews and opinions would be very helpful. Anything else would be fine too. I just want my computer to be free, clean and know that I’m sure if it order comes with it. Thanks all.
microsoft has a good free one.

Microsoft Security Essentials, currently. That might change down the road a ways, but for now MSE is the best free anti virus…
I’ve been getting into Comodo lately: http://antivirus.comodo.com/
Actually, I don’t know how well the anti-virus component of it works, but the thing is this: it has a “sandbox” feature. Unless you specifically tell Comodo to allow permanent changes, everything that you do in your browser gets undone when you restart your computer.
Here is a Hak5 podcast that showcases Comodo’s sandbox feature: http://www.hak5.org/episodes/episode-703
I use AVAST! Havent been infected since I started using it a couple years ago and it is free!
Avast is the best free choice
Lightweight, unobtrusive and it covers all bases
avast is
I use Anti-virus Avast, both free, for a anti-malware program use malwarebytes anti-malware, free also, a very good program that is light on the pc as well I use this set for nearly two years
AVG free version is a good chose for you, you can learn more from: http://www.globalshareware.com/freeware/AVG-AntiVirus-Free-90790a2730.html
BTW, free thing often has its defect, if u want a paid one, you can choose Kaspersky
Each computer system is unique in its own right – and each individual requires various functions from their antispyware and antivirus applications.
Therefore one cannot really say which antivirus is better than the other, but in terms of consistency and functionality, I would suggest that Kaspersky is one of the better anti-virus applications.
You can get the free trial version of this security tool at the following link:
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
You should also ensure your antispyware application is up to date and fully operational.
Check out Spyhunter here:

There is no one security software package that can protect against everything… I’ve tried quite a few of the free ones, and the ones you pay for. I’m still looking for something better, but for now I am using Microsoft security essentials(free) and Malwarebytes(the free version). Any good security should come with definition updates daily, but even then it still won’t protect you from everything.
If you use your computer enough you won’t be able to keep it completely clean. You will have adware at the very least. There is just way too much malicious(or tracking) software out there to be detected by any one security program.
AVG is the way to go!
